North Pole Party Stations
UPDATE:
WE ARE DOING OUR NORTH POLE PARTY VIRTUAL THIS YEAR – SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM TO FIND OUT MORE!
Despite our forecasted green Christmas, we were able to tap into children’s imaginations and bring a little of the “artic chill” to our classroom with a North Pole Party.
Our party included four stations for children to visit where they participated in a fun-filled activity at each stop.
They were invited to dress for the adventure by wearing their favorite winter hats and scarves.
“Elves” (parent helpers) were available to punch their cards and assist as needed at all stops along the way.
Station 1: Santa’s Workshop
At this stop, children decorated candles using white votives and sheets of wax.
Station 2: Mrs. Claus’s Kitchen
Here children decorated gingerbread men using frosting and a variety of sprinkles.
Station 3: The Reindeer Barn
Reindeer games were a huge hit and included a fun game of Reindeer Ring Toss.
Station 4: Winter Wonderland
Here children were shown how to make paper snowflakes from coffee filters…
and participated in an ice cube stacking challenge using acrylic ice cubes.
They also got creative and produced a “flurry” of snowflakes using loose parts.
The only thing missing from our North Pole party was the big man himself!
Next year, I’d love for Santa to stop by for a surprise visit. Until then, I’ll be looking for a Santa suit and a willing volunteer.
You can find the tickets, party punch necklaces, table tents, and a few surprises in this North Pole Party Pack.
Thanks for stopping by!
Virtual North Pole Party Stations
This year our North Pole party may not be possible, so instead, we will be taking a virtual field trip to the North Pole, where we will help Santa find Rudolph. As we look for him in places like the reindeer barn, toy shop, post office, cookie kitchen, and candy cane factory, we will do many fun activities such as playing reindeer games, finding out our reindeer name, learning how toys are made, taking a virtual sleigh ride, making a gift bag, writing a letter to Santa, doing a candy cane challenge, eating Christmas cookies together and more! In the end, we find Rudolph in the bottom of Santa’s sack and his red nose guides our way home.
This can be done during an online meeting, or if you are lucky enough to do it in person, it works equally well there too!
